Who’s in the Zoom? #1

A new series of presentations and discussions from the UK Disability Arts Alliance

Wednesday 5 August 2020 11.00am and 6.00pm

We are delighted to present two accessible information sessions with Arts Council England, specifically aimed at We Shall Not Be Removed members about newly re-opened grants schemes at Arts Council England. The sessions are free but you do need to book a space. Accessibility is included.

Who’s in the Zoom? Part 1: Arts Council England

After the Emergency Response funds of the first phase of the pandemic, Arts Council England has now re-opened its Project Grants and and is encouraging applications from individuals. There are also plans to reopen Developing Your Creative Practice funding in the Autumn.

There are some changes and there is some access support available for disabled artists to make applications. Each session has the same content, we’re holding two to allow people to have timing options.

  • The first is at 11.00am and the second at 6.00pm on Wednesday 5 August 2020.
  • Each will last approximately 45 minutes.
  • There will be a presentation including CC and BSL, with audio access features, and an opportunity to ask questions.
  • Please ensure your questions relate to grant applications please for best use of time.

These sessions will be hosted on Zoom by We Shall Not Be Removed members Andrew Miller and Ellie Page who will be joined by Claire and Aakash Bharania from Arts Council England.

Please take care to select the correct time for you when booking. We will send you a zoom link in advance of the session which is for your use only.

We can provide access information relating to using zoom should anyone require it. Contact us at access@weshallnotberemoved.com

Next Alliance Meeting Dates

Just a quick post to let you know that the next all alliance meeting for #WeShallNotBeRemoved will be:

Thursday 6th August, 11am – 12.30pm

The meeting will take place on Zoom. The link will be sent nearer the time – email access@weshallnotberemoved.com if you’d like to join in

-> The meeting will have two British Sign Language interpreters

-> The meeting will have live captioning

-> A note-taker will be in attendance so that we have accurate notes

-> We will schedule in breaks to the meeting

-> The agenda is now available in standard print, large print and audio on a password protected page. Please email info@weshallnotberemoved.com for the password

After the meeting, notes and minutes will be published on the website (on a password protected page) in the following formats:

Welcome to the Noticeboard!

As the #WeShallNotBeRemoved movement works hard to become more accessible and expands its current platforms, this online noticeboard will be used for important updates within the movement.

It will include information such as when the next meeting is, who to get in touch with about a particular issue, and where you can find minutes in a number of accessible formats from previous meetings.

The minutes will be available for download in Easy Read, Large Print, Standard Print (all as Word or PDF) & Audio Description via this website on password-protected web pages.
